working together.
Psychotherapy and Counselling can help you gain an in depth understanding of your current issues and the underlying triggers of these issues. By gaining insight into your internal or external struggles, you can improve yourself and learn to make better choices in the future.
In therapy we will explore your personal and situational circumstances and we will reflect on certain themes in your life that have shaped you as a person. By examining different areas of your life, thoughts and emotions, I aim to help you reach a state of self-actualisation and a better understanding of your problems. Throughout this whole process you will be considered as the expert of your life and I will guide you in processing feelings and reaching inner positivity to help you become a better version of yourself. Together we will unearth clarity on your thoughts and emotions and I will provide you with an enhanced awareness of your behavioural patterns.
What does Counselling entail?
Counselling involves discussing your issues, thoughts and emotions and reflecting on these in a safe environment, on a weekly basis. Sessions last 50 minutes and are scheduled for a suitable time on the same day.
What can I expect in the initial counselling session?
During the initial session we will become acquainted with each other and you will learn about how I work in order for you to see if you feel comfortable with me as a therapist. It will also give you the opportunity to ask any questions that you have.
We will explore your current issues and any goals you might have for therapy. Throughout the course of therapy, I will do regular reviews with you to understand your thoughts and expectations about the therapy.
